What is Viber? Well, official description would be that Viber is a free VoIP service and client application for mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers.
When Viber came out in 2010, it was a an application designed for sending free messages and making free calls between users who also have Viber installed on their mobile phones.
Today, users can send free messages and make free HD-quality calls to other Viber users on iPhone®, Android™, Windows Phone, Blackberry®, Windows®, Mac, Symbian, Nokia S40 and Bada devices over 3G/4G or WiFi connections.
With version 4.0, released in November 2013, Viber users got another awesome feature – Viber Out. With this feature, Viber users can call any mobile or landline phones, even those who don’t have Viber installed.
With more than 200 million users in over 193 countries, Viber is constantly innovating by introducing new platforms and adding fun new features including stickers and emoticons.
Viber is developed by Viber Media, a privately held company founded in February 2010.
