    I havent recieved my code, I haven recieve any sms, so I don't know how to get it.

      After subscribing at http://eepurl.com/bW1Ln you simply need to wait several weeks from our invitation email. Once you get it, you will be asked to fill out a form verifying the same details as the original subscription, and then you will be sent to download the APK and complete your installation.

      If you get the APK without following this exact procedure (in the *exact* same order), you will NOT be able to activate.

      Our waiting list is long, so a little more patience is needed :)

    as far as I know Viber for Android is no longer on Beta, but still i can't get mi activation code, what should I do now?

    i didn't recieve my acc. code, and when i tried the "click here" button it got me to a page where i was requested to click on a "get code" button that also did nothing.
    i'm in Egypt, using Etisalat.

        It seems as though some of our SMS with code are blocked by Etisalat, unfortunately there is not much we can do about it :(
        The same thing happens in other countries where Etisalat is the operator. Try contacting them and ask for answers.

    Hi, can you tell us if Iusacell (Carrier) in Mexico is blocking Viber? I can't install viber and I have tried all your solutions.

      It's not really a 'block' per se, but it seems as though somewhere our SMS's with code get stuck.
      Please remove Viber, wait 24 hours, and try again.

    Is Viber compatible with Motoroi X (Droid X) – Motorola?

      If you'r running Android 2.1 or above, with stock ROM (not a custom ROM), then yes, it should work just fine.
      Please test it and let us know if you encounter any special problems.

    hi, like Sergio above, i received the activation code in the sms and they tell me to close that message and enter the code in Viber but I can't find the place to enter the code in Viber. But the application can be opened, I can view all my contacts using viber as well. However, when I try to call a contact, the dial tone is heard and no ringing tone happens. Is there a step that I am lacking? thank you in advance.

      As I replied above, in Android (unlike iPhone), the code that's received is automatically inserted to Viber and Viber simply gets activated and ready to use.

      The problem you are describing is different, and it sounds as if your internet connection is blocked or disrupted (or you are trying to use Viber behind a firewall or a router).
      Are you trying to make a call on WiFi or 3G?

      After you install Viber, you have a Welcome Screen, and right after that you are asked you type in your phone number.
      After you press "Continue", you are immediately transferred to the code entering page.

      You might have a different problem now..

    Hi, I am from Serbia, and can’t get code on any on the ways you have described bellow. My network is VIP (220 05) but got there through mobile number portability (my original number prefix belongs to MTS – 220 03) so that might generate problems. Have any advise how I should confirm my number.

      When you try to register to Viber, you enter your number, and press “Continue”. What happens then? The code simply never arrives, or are you getting an error message?

        The code simply never arrives. Same thing is happening when initiate code callback – the phone just doesn’t ring!

          In general, number portability shouldn’t cause any problems (it’s just like sending you a regular SMS). However, there might be another problem with sending SMS’s to VIP network.

    Hello, please help. Cant activate due error when inputing my cell number. By the way I’m using the Samsung Galaxy tab wifi only. Example my cell number is 09178440744 (example only) and the code for my country is (+63) so I inputed 9178440744 only. Afterwhich an error occurs and prevents me from getting an access code. Please help. Thanks!

      If you still get no code, remove Viber again, wait 24 hours and reinstall but first register with a different number (for example – your home number), then immediately go back, and register with your cellular number again. Are you getting the code?

    same problem here its been like 1 month no SMS no calls, maybe something wrong with my phone i dont know but im sure the only way possible to get my code its through mail, dunno whats the problem of getting it by mail. what wrong can be done with it ??? i just dont get it. or add another type of registration like username and password cause this been a long time and still nothing a lot of mails to support and a lot of messages telling me to install again etc etc and then ok code will be send to you manually.. and still nothing many times.
    can it be done through mail or with username password for ppl having problems with SMS or phonecalls .. Thanks

      The whole point of Viber is to be an app that can recognize if your friends have Viber installed. We do that by making the Viber identity identical to your phone number (in that sense – your “username” is simply your phone number). In order to ensure that the phone holder is in fact the one who’s registering, we must use the phone number itself as an identifier.

      There is a known problem in some countries with inability to receive our code. We are trying to fix that, but it seems to us like a problem with the cellular providers themselves.

        i already been doin that 1 month, there should be an option to get it by mail, even if i give you my address my phone of house etc so u can see ppl is the real owner cause im pretty sure its the cellular providers here in mexco its a monopoly and they will block it if they wish. and theres nothing to do about it. unless you guys send it by mail too.
        i been installing and uninstalling for 1 month, and i been contacting support viber but the first answer is always the first and the second is the same and the third they never reply back.
        first answer is uninstall and install again wait 24 hours and try…
        second answer is ok we will send you the code manually please let us know when u recieve it.
        and after couple days i send them message i didnt recieve anything yet .. theres no answer.
        i really hope i can get some help here plz

      The UAE decided to block Viber, this is why you are getting the error. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it :(
      Try contacting Etisalat (or the authorities) and ask for the reason for this block.

      You can receive the access code also via callback.

      1. Open Viber on your device (You can download it from http://www.viber.com/itunes)
      2. Enter your phone number and tap on ‘Continue’.
      3. If you haven’t received an SMS with your access code within 60 seconds, click on the ‘No Code?’ button (see image example).
      4. Follow the instructions on the system.
      5. Accept the automatic call and write down the given access code.
      6. Enter the code into Viber to complete the set up.

    Hi, I download this app but I fail to get the SMS & when i try to get the call.. my server says something like ” you’re getting a call from.. blah blah” and when the lil recording ends.. it says the VIBER LINE hung up.. so i dont get the code & i dont know what to do :/

    Let me get into the main point direct , am using iPhone 3gs and am not on jailbroken or any am using the original IOS from Apple that came with he iPhone

    the problem is the following

    i have installed before Viber on my iPhone and it works good and after restore the
    ios on my iPhone and reinstall the viber again i face an strange problem and is not with
    me it’s with a lot of other people too , is not about push notification because its on and
    nothing from this problems , the problem is when i enter the phone number and click
    on continue is not giving any result and also it not move to next step which is the access
    code windows it keep stuck on the enter phone number window and keep enter continue
    button is not doing any action

    so what is this problem , does viber not accept same SIM card Number to use it again
    or what exactly

      Viber only needs cellular service when first registering in order to receive the activation code by SMS or callback. However, you can also type in your landline or a friend’s mobile phone just to receive the code, and then you’re ready to go.

      After activation has been finished, you can use Viber only with WiFi (and not 3G), so cellular service is not obligatory.

    thanks for a rather excellent app with great international call quality.

    I am helping my dad based in Norway. he has installed the app and has received his code, but has yet to spot where you enter the code. I remember that for me this was the first screen to appear, while he has not gotten this. What’s funny is that you need the code to activate your Viber account – he has yet to enter his, but he juste called me using Viber.

    The result is that Viber works fine for him, but a reminder (message) tells him to enter the code every 30 seconds – pretty annoying. Have you seen this before? Do you have a suggestion for a solution?

      If he’s using an Android device, then the code is inserted automatically into the app.

      If he is using Android, can you tell if he is using a Custom ROM or not? (you can ask him).

    I installed viber successfully on my HTC Gratia A6380. However I don’t get any activation code via SMS or via Call. I tried to uninstall, and then reinstall the application after 24 hours, but it didn’t help.
    I live in Armenia and my cellular operator is VivaCell-MTS.

    hey, i am using GOOAPPLE phone, which is very similar to iphone, i have tried 3 times /uninstalled and wait 2 days/ but still not receiving code by SMS, and there is another problem which is “An internet connection is required to set up Viber.     i am having I phone 4 , contract with Vodafone, but i work in remote location in Australia. here i cannot get any sms or call cos here there is no network of any cellular .. only mean of communication is satellite internet.. i want to talk with my friends on viber… but cannot go beyond the point of viber code… please suggest

Our suggestion to you is to temporarily, whole on that remote area, ask the help of a friend or family to receive the code for you, email it to you (for example), and then you’ll be able to activate Viber just fine, but your Viber identity will be that number you registered with.

    I deactivated my Viber about 4 days ago on my android, it worked fine before hand and has let me activate it like this multiple times before. I’m from Australia and am with Telstra, not that this is relevant because it is only happening now. I’ve tried with a few different numbers and have uninstalled and reinstalled viber already and this is not helping. What can i do to make it let me activate it again?

    My mother doesnt have viber, she has a basic cell phone yet her number shows up as having viber in my smartphone (android). I tried to call her and it rang but obviously she did not answer because it didnt ring (she was sitting infront of me during this test). A couple of days later, today I get a message, “who is this?”.

    How is this possible????????? Can people use her number???? HELP?!

      Uninstall your viber. Then install X-plore file manager on google play or equivalent program. After installation open the X-plore manager under “/sdcard(sdcard)” then expand. delete the “viber” folder. Re install “viber” program again on google play. Then try to register again. It works with my Sony experia Z . Hope it will works also in your phone. Careful when you are using the X-plore File manager, it may end up you delete the wrong file. make sure you delete only the viber folder.

    Hi, I installed viber onto my phone (Android) but i cant use it, Everytime i try to sent sms or call a box appears up saying “the service has been blocked or is currently unavailable”….. I recieved the sms code, But never got to enter it in? Does that mean my viber account is not acctivated? Because everyone can see me on viber but i cant Reply or anything? And I do recieve there messages and thats about it…. I uninstalled it, Now I cant reinstall.

      1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?
      2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled (“forwarded”) on your routers or firewalls:
      TCP: 5242 + 4244
      UDP: 5243 + 9785

    Is it true that each mobile number can only receive activation code once within 24 hours? Because I installed Viber, and activated my number successfully yesterday, but my phone got an issue and I had to re-install Viber, and since then I tried many times but couldn’t activate it again. I submitted my phone number, it said an SMS with activation code is sent to me but I didn’t receive anything. There is an option “No code? click here”, I clicked, I entered my phone number but I couldn’t hit the “Continue” button.
    Should I wait 24hrs and try again or how can I fix it?
    Note: I use Nokia C3-00, and I used viber on this phone before, it worked fine.

        Thanks for the reply! I tried waiting 24 hours but that didn’t work. I tried using different phone numbers (my girlfriend’s and my own land line) and on both attempts it worked, so apparently the problem is with my original Viber account. I even used the code I received via callback on my land line to authenticate Viber on my cellphone, and that ended up working. I can now use Viber normally on my cell, although when I call someone they think I’m calling from my land line, when I’m actually on my cell, since that’s the number I used to have the code sent to me and apparently that is the number now being used for my Viber account.

      Unfortunately, it will not be possible to retrieve those lost messages, since we (Viber) do not keep our users’ message history on our servers – we care about our users’ privacy.

      What phone do you have?
      Also, have you tested Viber after rebooting your phone, and connecting to a few different WiFi networks?

    I removed viber and now I am trying to reinstall it, but I can not get the code :(

      Please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).

      In addition, you may try to register to Viber with a different number (for example – your home landline number, a friend’s number, etc.), in order to determine whether the problem is specific with your number, or a general one.

      * If it still fails, please specify what country you’re located in, and which cellular network you are subscribed to.
