New Viber version is most noticeable by new Call quality indicator. It is a small phone icon on call in progress screen, which can be in three colors (attached image).
Other visual thing is that now there is a “Privaci policy” option under “More” tab. There was different interpretations on the internet regarding accessing your address book data. We all agree that recognizing your ordinary contacts as Viber users is ultra friendly approach, but it also means that Viber has information who are your friends (like google doesn’t already know 
). This Privacy policy statement serves to suspicious people to easily check what Viber states that will do to protect users privacy.
There are many fixes under the hood, and few to mention, like bluetooth seems to be working much better, and few problematic country codes are fixed.
