Can I install Viber on my BlackBerry?

Yes you can. It requires the BlackBerry OS 5.0 or higher and it is currently in its beta version. ”Beta” actually means that you cannot enjoy the HD sound quality the way both iPhone and Android users can. Remember – you cannot make calls with this version! However, the beta version does include the other two significant features: text and photo messages, as well as address book synchronization.

      We are in the last days of beta testing, and presently compiling reviews from our beta testers. We hope to close this stage by the end of this month, and then finally submit Viber for BlackBerry [beta] to RIM for their review and approval. When they are done, the app will be available on AppWorld :)

      We will be announcing its publication, system req. and more, at that time.

      What error message exactly do you see?

      It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber’s traffic.

      1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?
      2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled (“forwarded”) on your routers or firewalls:
      TCP: 5242 + 4244
      UDP: 5243 + 9785

      (if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer)
